Sri Lanka and its elephants

by Ragini posted April 27, 2013 category India

At the beginning of April, I went to Sri Lanka for a weekend – which is not nearly enough time to explore this beautiful country. We stayed in Kandy, near the Pinnewalla elephant orphanage.

The elephants are marched down to a nearby river every morning and afternoon to bathe, and visitors can feed them bananas on the way.
